#8 Age Ain’t Nuthin But A #?
Got nuthin’ against anybody goin’ 4 their dreamz, but in this case my concern iz that once he getz there, ol’ Johnny boy iz likely ta fall asleep @ the wheel. Think about it: He’z pretty much @ the age when we gotta start thinkin’ ’bout takin’ away drivin’ privileges from a lot a’ folks!
N’ I love the senior citizenz n’ all (az long az they can still act like they have some sense), but some of ‘em can’t be counted on ta concede when they’re past the age a’ bein’ able ta handle their bidness on their own. Gettin’ ‘em ta give up drivin’ privilegez can be worst than tryin’ ta pry the car keyz outta yer drunk buddy’s hand when he (or she) haz had too many Budweisers–evidently, they don’t make yer bud any wizer!
It’d be best not ta forget what happen’d the last time we had a guy this old in the ultimate driver’z seat. Say what ya will about ol’ Ronny “Star Warz” Raygun–loved ‘im or loathed ‘im–he wuz a dodderin’ old fool long b/4 the Alzheimer’s kicked in full gear.
After a short while, it got ta be an embarrassment altogether. The only thang that’z been worse haz been twb’z 2 illegitimate termz.
…n’ let’z be honest…given george II’z alcoholic/coke-headed past…he’z definitely held “higher” office in hiz own Playskool head. Guess that’z how he got God ta tell him ta go ta war w/ the wrong country in the 1st place! But I digress…
